A romantic Londoner proposed to his American girlfriend by having a movie trailer telling the story of their relationship using child actors played to her in a US cinema before her favourite film. David Fearn, 30, spent £2,500 on elaborately popping the question to his movie-mad girlfriend Kelsey Rubenstein, 23, on January 16. He got down on one knee at the Crest Theater in LA after getting the cinema to agree to screen his two minute trailer before Quentin Tarentino's 'True Romance'. The short-film - which took four months to write and produce - subtly chronicles the couple's year-long relationship using two child actors to act out the struggle of living 8,000 miles apart. From the moment they met at a house party to the moment David decides to travel to LA to pop the question, the professionally produced clip is also littered with lines from Kelsey's favourite films and songs.
