SYDNEY, Oct 12 — After a month of investigation, a 20-year-old suspect has been identified in the murder of a business owner in Sydney.
In the early hours of September 8, Morgan Huxley, 31, took a taxi back to his Neutral Bay neighbourhood. Security footage shows Huxley arriving at 1.01am at the Oaks Hotel, which he was known to frequent. Later Daniel Jack Kelsall allegedly caught up with Huxley at the intersection to initiate sexual activity. Footage shows Kelsall carrying a satchel and wearing chequered pants and a black chef's jacket. The two walked together to Huxley's home less than 100 metres away. Huxley's flatmate Jean Redmond went to check on him when she heard a noise from the bedroom. She discovered him in his bedroom wearing only his T-shirt and having sustained more than a dozen slash wounds in his neck and left side. He was then rushed to hospital where he was pronounced dead upon arrival. Investigators believe that Huxley and Kelsall had not known each other prior to their encounter. He was charged with murder and larceny. — Reuters
