Candidate registration for South Korea's upcoming local elections and National Assembly by-elections is taking place over the next two days.
Dozens of would-be representatives have already registered for various local political positions from city mayors and governors to educational superintendents.
Once their registration has been approved,... the candidates will be able to start campaigning from May 31st, two weeks before the elections.
Until then, only limited campaign activity is allowed, such as handing out business cards, and setting up campaign headquarters.
The public will head to the polls on June 13th.
