Wednesday, smog caused from the Kilauea volcano eruptions in Hawaii drifted across the island chain.
Reuters.com writes, "Communities south of its summit were warned of up to a quarter-inch of ashfall."
The US Geological Survey has worned aviators and airports to be cautious of the ash.
It could damage jet engines as it blows into aircraft routes.
Fortunately, the ash isn't poisonous. However, it does irritate a person's airways, eyes, and nose.
