Over the weekend, North Korea made a jaw-dropping announcement.
Specific outline on when and how to dismantle its main nuclear test site.
The overall denuclearization discussion is picking up steam.
That's right.
Late Saturday night, North Korea announced that it is dismantling its main nuclear test site sometime between May 23rd and 25th, inviting journalists from overseas to assure transparency.
The general view is that this move aims at showing a firm and strong determination to denuclearize. Moreover, the demolition of the site makes it difficult for the regime to find another site that fits the requirements to sustain nuclear tests.
And whereas the regime's statement underscores its will to 'dismantle' the nuclear test site,... watchers believe pulling the plug of its nuclear test site has a meaning that transcends a mere shutdown.
With the international community witnessing the shutdown, Pyongyang makes sure to have the upper hand in order to make its own requests to the U.S.
