SpaceX launched the first Bangladeshi telecom satellite, the Bangabandhu-1, into orbit on May 11 via a Falcon 9 rocket.
This livestreamed footage shows the launch, which was carried out in Cape Canaveral Air Force Base in Florida.
According to “Spaceflight Now,” The Bangabandhu-1 is named after Bangabandhu Sheikh Mujibur Rahman, the founding father of Bangladesh. Credit: SpaceX via Storyful
