The fourth and final stage of "Nissan expedition: exploring the origins of Brazil" recently concluded in Bahía, Brazil, where adventurers explored the natural beauty of the Chapada Diamantina National Park and visited one of the most emblematic archeological sites in the state, Serra das Paridas. During the three-day event, journalist and guests studied cave paintings and learned about Brazilian history while testing the capabilities of the new Nissan Frontier on challenging off-road and rocky trails.
At the end of this stage, participants visited the Serra das Paridas site in Bahía, which is home to a large variety of original cave paintings, featuring geometrical shapes spread across the steep rocky walls – as well as motifs depicting animals and vegetables. This site also exhibits pieces of great artistic quality in ochre, yellow, black and white shades, painted hundreds of thousands of years ago by local caveman hunters.
