Montreal-based YouTuber Viva Frei has always been fascinated by fossils.

Here he shows how they can be found in the most unlikely of urban environments - in the foundation of homes and in concrete slabs.

"Oh my goodness, look at that! That is a beautiful ammonite shell.
I don't think people appreciate that there are magnificent fossils on the sidewalk, right next to my neighbour's house for example," the self-confessed geek says in the camera.
