Portland-based tattoo artist Kayla Newell is known for her black light tattoos...
As in tattoos that glow but only under black lights.
Newell uses ink that is naturally fluorescent, 100% vegan, with no added chemicals that cause them to glow.
They are not "charged by the sun" like a glow in the dark decoration.
The ink pops under UV light, or a black light.
Many are not fond of black light tattoos, though. The work is quite controversial in the tattoo community.
