The World Today traveled to Paris on May 3rd for the 50th anniversary of the 1968 student revolt, which culminated in one of the largest general strikes in history and brought down the government of Charles De Gaulle.

To discuss 1968 and its legacy (France has seen a wave university occupations and strikes in recent weeks) Tariq spoke to historian Ludivine Bantigny, who has written a book on the impact of ’68 across the whole of France.
