Montana Community Evacuated Due to Flooding

Parts of Missoula County, Montana, were under evacuation order due to flooding along the Clark Fork River on Wednesday, May 9. The river was expected to be at major flood stage, 13 feet, by Friday, according to the National Weather Service.

The river was forecast to crest at 13.5 feet on Saturday.

About 60 homes were ordered to evacuate on Tuesday, including the Orchard Homes area, a news report said. Those around the evacuation area were warned they may be ordered to evacuate as the river continues to rise.
