Loris Rhodes from Northamptonshire decided to surprise her grandfather for his 78th birthday last week - by asking a gang of bikers who regularly do charity work to visit him.

Sam Rhodes was a former biker himself, who over time had lost his mobility and ability to ride, but never lost his love of motorcycles.

In the video, filmed on his birthday on May 4, a visibly moved Sam is seen sat in his wheelchair watching the bikers and cheering them on as they drive by on his street in Kettering.

Loris thanked the Kettering Bikers who visited her grandfather: "Me and my family are eternally grateful for (them) helping my grandad to have the best birthday ever. As you can see by the look on his face, he's absolutely gobsmacked as this was a surprise for him and honestly brought a tear to my eye.

"These bikers are the same inspiring individuals who delivered presents to hospitals over Christmas and as well as Easter eggs at Easter. As my grandad lost his mobility, and ultimately losing the ability to ride a motorbike, his love of being able to ride was gone. But this never stopped him from analysing every bike that went by, guessing the bike by the sound of the exhaust or showing us photos of him once on his racing bikes.

"I just want to thank all these people who helped make my grandad's birthday so special."
