Health Survey Finds Americans Are More Anxious Than Last Year A poll by the American Psychological Association (APA) The report surveyed 1,000 U.S. adults with only 19 percent claiming they were less anxious than last year. What’s causing the increased anxiety? Sixty-eight percent of respondents pointed to ensuring their family’s safety and their health. Sixty-seven percent were anxious due to bills or expenses. Fifty-six percent reported politics, and forty-eight percent said interpersonal relationships. When it comes to mental health, Fifty-eight percent said they did feel their mental health coverage under their current insurance was adequate.
