A mother and her son caught a glimpse on Sunday of a giant alligator crossing a road in North Port, Florida in the USA.
The whopping reptile didn't appear to be in any hurry as it ambled onto the verge.
"Is that a real alligator?" asked the 9-year-old boy.
More than a million alligators live in Florida, though the species remains listed as an endangered species because it closely resembles the endangered American crocodile.
