14 people including the prime accused Dhanu Bhandya have been arrested for raping and murdering a 16-year old girl in Jharkhand's Chatra district. Accused took the minor to a forest and raped her. What’s worse is that village panchayat tried to settle the matter by imposing a fine of just 50,000 rupees on the rapists. Infuriated by the decision, accused reportedly reached the girl's house and burnt her alive.
