M6.9 Earthquake Rattles Home in Hilo, Hawaii

A M6.9 earthquake rocked Hawaii’s Big Island on May 4 at 12:30 pm, one hour after a M5.4 earthquake rattled the island.

Officials from the Hawaiian Volcano Observatory told Maui Now the quake is the strongest in Hawaii since 1975.
