Reform-minded professor tapped to lead South Korea's financial regulator

The Financial Services Commission has nominated a reform-minded business professor to lead Korea's top financial regulator.
The nominee for the head of the Financial Supervisory Service is Yoon Suk-heun, who is currently heads a government commission that drafts measures to reform financial administration affairs.
President Moon Jae-in's approval will confirm Yoon's nomination.
Yoon will succeed Kim Ki-sik, who resigned last month shortly after the National Election Commission concluded that his past behavior as a lawmaker had violated laws.
