In October last year, Bengaluru’s pothole-riddled roads had claimed five lives in less than a fortnight and shockingly, the Bengaluru Development Minister dismissed these incidents as mere accidents. The minister in question - K J George - a key aide of Chief Minister Siddaramaih, had said that some people are trying to paint a wrong picture and spread false news by linking all the deaths to killer potholed roads.
