This is the moment water falls from the ceiling at a student accommodation in Leeds after a burst pipe flooded the building.

Footage shows the scene in the reception of the Plaza around 3am this morning (May 2) after a pipe on the 8th floor reportedly burst and caused the deluge.

Students can be seen in their pyjamas treading through the rapidly accumulating water.

Residents were evacuated and placed in hotels in nearby cities such as Bradford.
