President Moon Jae-in met this morning with his Turkish counterpart Recep Tayyip Erdogan, who is on a state visit to South Korea.
It's the first meeting between the leaders of the two countries since Seoul and Ankara established a strategic partnership in 2012.
After a welcoming ceremony, the two leaders held a summit at the Blue House,... highly evaluating their 61 years of bilateral cooperation and their long-standing friendship,... and also the recent inter-Korean summit.
Turkey contributed the second highest number of allied troops during the Korean War.
Seoul also helped Turkey following the 1999 earthquake in Istanbul.
The leaders also witnessed the signing of MOUs in sectors including education as well as ICT.
A state banquet in honor of President Erdogan will be held this evening.
