Gina Foster - Mistaking My Kindness

This wonderful song is from the albums, "Northern Soul 2011" and "Northern Soul 2012". I grew very disheartened back in 2010 so I took a couple of years off. But now my videos have had well over seventeen million views on YouTube and all my fans have been urging me to come back. So I did, with 48 brand new songs across two new albums on Centre City Records. I pray people actually buy them, because letdowns like the ones in 2010 are very hard to overcome, and pick yourself up again. Here is where I most need and depend upon the fans. So here we are with a 2012 composition from my favorite girl, Gina Foster. Back in early 2009, after my songwriting partner Clive Scott died after a terrible accident, Gina put words to his last piece of music and created a sad sad but beautiful mellow song, "My World Will Never Be The Same", which was our follow up to Gina's wonderful "Love In Overdrive", her second song for our previous album, "Soul Steppers", along with the duet with Peter Lamarr, called "Miracles". Gina has been making records for many years, and has been a major part of the group, Swing Out Sister, and is a skilled and consummately professional backing singer, recently performing with Tom Jones. Her classic Expansion single, "B-Side Of Love" set the Modern-Room dancefloors alight. The duet that we recorded with Peter Lamarr, "Miracles", was originally for Benjamin Barnes, back in 2003, and Ben and I co-wrote that fabulous smooth uplifting future soul classic with my long time producing partner Clive Scott. That was before he became world famous starring as Prince Caspian in "The Chronicles Of Narnia", so I decided to make it as a duet with Peter and Gina. It was intended to be a bonus track, as the solo song, "Love In Overdrive", was Gina's main song for the album, but everyone fell in love with it instantly, so we had to include it as well, in pride of place, hoping it wouldn't overshadow Gina's utterly beautiful solo track "Love In Overdrive". But nothing could touch the heart rending poignancy of "My World Will Never Be The Same". However, this song, "Mistaking My Kindness", is just about the perfect Philly/70s/Northern Soul anthem.
