Supporters of opposition leader Nikol Pashinyan gathered at Republic Square, Yerevan, on May 1, as the Armenian parliament sat to elect an interim prime minister.
Nikol Pashinyan, who led protests to remove the previous prime minister, Serzh Sargsyan, was the only candidate, Armenpress reported.
