The Oregon State Police is seeking information on as many as three deer who have been seen running around with arrows that were shot through their bodies.
"Troopers were called to the Shady Cove area to investigate a live deer that had been shot with an arrow which was still stuck in the deer," the department announced in a Saturday Facebook post.
That animal was later found, as was another in the same condition. Reports indicate there is a third deer affected similarly.
Authorities say the two that have been spotted did not seem to be suffering from life-threatening injuries, but the possibility of tranquilizing them and removing the arrows is being considered.
A reward is being offered for information leading to the arrest of the person or persons responsible.
