Representative Patrick Meehan resigned from Congress on April 27th.
The Republican from Pennsylvania reportedly used taxpayer funds to pay for a former staffer's sexual harassment claim.
Former representative Meehan stated he will pay back the US Treasury for the settlement.
Back in January, Meehan stated he would not seek reelection after his settlement became public knowledge.
