Venom is a superhero movie, based on the Marvel character, Venom, directed by Ruben Fleischer. The film aims to be the first in the Sony Marvel Universe, attached but separated from the Marvel Cinematic Universe, where Tom Hardy will be the protagonist, playing Eddie Brock, and whose planned release is for October 5, 2018.

The film will be based fundamentally on the history of two comics: "Lethal Protector" and "Planet of the Symbiotes".
