A recent tweet by a Vishwa Hindu Parishad member from Lucknow about cancelling his Ola cab ride because the driver was a Muslim snowballed into a controversy on Sunday as the person came under attack from Twitteratis and politicians. The cab aggregator issued a strongly-worded statement, saying Ola was a secular platform and it doesn’t discriminate driver partners or customers based on their caste or religion.
