This poor pooch was getting nowhere fast after trying to walk the wrong way down an escalator in a metro station in Bangkok.

Passing shoppers looked on as the dog kept walking forwards before eventually rolled backwards.

Nong Jinny, who recorded the animal on April 3, said: ''I thought it was funny at the time.

''I think it was the dog's first time using an escalator.

''People scolded me for not helping the dog but after I stopped filming I pressed the emergency stop button so he could walk down and onto the street.''
