The United States is testing procedures for an emergency evacuation of its citizens in South Korea,... where a small group of Americans will be flown to Dallas,... in an exercise meant to simulate preparation for conflict.
Dubbed "Focused Passage",... the Wall Street Journal says the exercise involves 100 civilians being moved from South Korea,... to an air base in Japan,... and from there to Dallas-Fort Worth International Airport.
While evacuation exercises are held on a regular basis,... it's the first time the evacuees are being brought all the way to the U.S.
Currently,... there are more than 200-thousand Americans residing in South Korea.
