Amid massive controversy over alleged harassment to Dalit professor, the SC commission has directed IIT-Kanpur to register FIR against 4 of its professors on charges of atrocities. Assistant professor Subrahmayam Saderlas had officially complained to the HOD of his department of aerospace engineering after other professors allegedly taunted professor Saderlas and made objectionable remarks at him during a seminar. The SC panel which NewsX has accessed clearly states that a probe must be conducted and all those professors must be suspended pending probe.
