And an Austrian start-up, Rebeat Innovations, is developing “high-definition vinyl.”

Digital audio conversion and lasers engrave the ceramic “stamper,” or record grooves.

The vinyl LPs will have higher fidelity, volume, better quality, and longer playing times.
