Korea's Fair Trade Commission is looking into whether Google is abusing its market dominance.
The main player in the mobile application market, Google is alleged to have abused its market position with its application store Google Play.
Korea's regulatory authority is questioning mobile game companies about whether they were asked to publish games either in Google Play or in One Store, a competitor operated by Korea's joint telecommunication services.
The watchdog is also reviewing whether Google encourages pre-distribution to Google Play and retaliates against firms that don't comply.
