Supreme Court has dismissed the petition seeking framing of guidelines for allocation of cases and constitution benches. The top court has said Chief Justice of India is first among equals and has authority to decide allocation of cases and constitution bench. The top court was hearing a plea by an advocate questioning power of CJI to set up benches.
