Ilker Kesiktas shot dramatic video of several girls escaping a fire that broke out in a dance studio on the second story of a building in Edgewater, New Jersey, on April 9, by jumping off a fire escape with flames at their feet.

Edgewater Mayor Michael McPartland’s said the fire started on the first floor and quickly spread to the second, forcing people to evacuate via the second story balcony. Witnesses were able to help the girls escape the flames by assisting them with ladders.
