Sarah Hucakbee Sanders on Monday said President Trump "still strongly feels" there was a large amount of voter fraud.

According to the White House, President Trump remains convinced that there was mass voter fraud in the 2016 election. The matter was raised in a Monday press briefing by a reporter who, in light of Trump's recent comments on the matter, asked for clarity on "what his standard of accuracy is."  White House press secretary Sarah Huckabee Sanders replied, "The president still strongly feels that there was a large amount of voter fraud and attempted to do a thorough review of it, but a lot of the states didn't want to cooperate and participate." "We certainly know that there were a large number of incidents reported, but we can't be sure exactly how much because we weren't able to conduct the full review that the president wanted because a number of states did not want to cooperate and refused to participate," she continued. Many studies have been done in regard to mass voter fraud in the U.S. and have largely concluded that it simply doesn't occur, notes CNN. A White House commission was unable to provide compelling evidence that it happened in 2016. It did abandon the effort and refused to share any information it had gathered. 
Nonetheless, Trump said at a Thursday gathering in West Virginia, "In many places the same person in California votes many times. They always like to say, 'Oh, that's a conspiracy theory.' It's not a conspiracy theory. Millions and millions of people, and it's very hard because the state guards their records."
