In what appears to be a bid to shift the political onus on the DMK on the Cauvery issue, senior AIAMDK leader M Thambidurai said his party would consider moving a no-trust motion in Parliament against the NDA government if Congress supported it. He also added that Congress support was needed to facilitate such an initiative. With this move, AIADMK becomes the 5th party hoping to move a no-trust motion against the NDA. Earlier the TDP, YSR Congress and Congress as well as CPI(M) had decided to move no-trust motions. Even though the numbers are not in their favour. Meanwhile, an AIADMK Rajya Sabha MP has already resigned over the issue.
