Arnold Schwarzenegger Hospitalized, Underwent Open-Heart Surgery On Thursday, Schwarzenegger experienced complications during an operation to replace a catheter valve, which prompted an hours-long open-heart surgery. TMZ reported he is in stable condition at Cedars-Sinai Medical Center in Los Angeles. The 70-year-old actor and former politician had an aortic valve replacement surgery back in 1997, as well. According to TMZ, he did not need the procedure at the time, as he was still young, but he opted to do it anyway.
