The Russia-linked hacker "Guccifer 2.0" was long believed to be a front for Russian intelligence. On Thursday, The Daily Beast published a bombshell report confirming that the hacker was directly tied to the GRU. The GRU is Russia's military intelligence outfit.
Guccifer 2.0 has said that they targeted Democrats during the 2016 US election. It has denied having any ties to Russia.
