Most of the 150 beached whales to have washed up on the shore of Hameli bay, north of Augusta, Western Australia on March 23 have died. Australia’s Department of Biodiversity, Conservation & Attractions said

More than 100 volunteers assisted the department’s Park and Wildlife staff in rescuing the ten surviving short-finned pilot whales.

Short-finned pilot whales often strand in large groups.
