The founder of Toys "R" Us has died, a week after the company announced it was forced to shut down its U.S. operations.
Charles Lazarus, who founded Toys "R" Us 70 years ago,... was 94 years old.
Lazarus started the company when he was just 25,... hoping the post-war baby boom would create demand for baby supplies and toys.
Recognized as the man who transformed the toy industry from seasonal to year-round,... Lazarus remained the firm's CEO until 1994.
