External Affairs Minister Sushma Swaraj today said that the 39 missing Indians in Iraq have been killed. She was speaking in Rajya Sabha. Swaraj also said that the stranded Indians were kidnapped and most of them were from Punjab. The Union minister said that the bodies of the deceased were exhumed and DNA samples sent for forensic test. The 39 Indians were kidnapped by ISIS in Mosul in 2014.

विदेश मंत्री सुषमा स्वराज ने आज राज्यसभा में जानकारी दी कि इराक में लापता 39 भारतीय मारे जा चुके हैं. पिछले साल जुलाई में सुषमा ने कहा था कि वो तब तक 39 भारतीयों को मृत घोषित नहीं कर सकती जब तक उन्हें इस बात के पक्के सबूत नहीं मिल जाते.
