South Korean gov't plans to submit constitutional reform bill to National Assembly this week

The government is set to submit its bill on constitutional revision on March 26th.... while President Moon Jae-in is away on his trip to Vietnam and the UAE this week.
The Presidential Office of Cheong Wa Dae said moments ago,... that the bill is expected to be submitted to the National Assembly on the 26th,... to secure the 60-day deliberation period for parliament.
The draft proposal will be available for the public for their review starting this week,... and is widely expected to include scrapping the current single five-year presidential term limit and replacing it with a renewable four-year term similar to the U.S. system.
The draft was presented by a presidential advisory committee last week.
The government hopes to hold a referendum on a Constitutional revision at the same time as local elections in June.
