Sponsored by Seiko, Scuba Diving's Sea Heroes Awards recognize activists who are on the front lines of ocean and marine-life conservation. They're everyday divers who make an extraordinary difference, and inspire all divers with their compassion and dedication.

Each year, Scuba Diving names five new Sea Heroes and awards each a Seiko Prospex PADI Special Edition dive watch. One activist is named the "Sea Hero of the Year," awarding them $5,000 courtesy of Seiko to further their conservation work.
