Good afternoon, I'm Lee Ji-won, and throughout this week, I'll be bringing you the latest on the 2018 PyeongChang Winter Paralympics.
With last Friday's opening ceremony, we are now on day three of the games, and already, several events have taken place over the weekend with Team Korea's Sin Eui-hyun winning the country's first medal, with a bronze medal in cross-country skiing.

And Team Korea's para ice hockey team is continuing its winning ways,... this time,... with a dramatic overtime victory against the Czech Republic on Sunday.
Tied two-a-piece after three periods,... South Korean forward Jung Seung-hwan scored just 13-seconds into overtime,... giving the South Koreans a 3-2 victory,... for their second win of the preliminary round.
With that win,... the host nation will be fighting for Group B's top spot against the USA on Tuesday,... and is on the verge of qualifying for the Paralympic semi-finals for the first time in history.

Now over to wheelchair curling,...
South Korea's mixed wheelchair curling team is looking to mirror the success that the "Garlic Girls" had during last month's Winter Olympics.
After defeating the USA and the Neutral Paralympic Athletes from Russia on Saturday,... South Korea faced off against Slovakia on Sunday,... and rallied back from a five-four deficit after six ends,... to win seven-five for their third straight victory,... which leaves them tied with Canada and China at the top of the round-robin group.

Meanwhile, two North Korean Paralympians made their debut in cross-country skiing.
Ma Yu-chol and Kim Jong-hyon finished 26th and 27th respectively,... out of 27 competitors.
Until PyeongChang 2018, North Korea had only appeared at two Summer Paralympics: London 2012 and Rio 2016.

Let's now look at some of the standout events for Monday.
The men and women's snowboard cross is underway with qualification rounds being held right now.
The USA and the Czech Republic are also currently playing their preliminary round match in para ice hockey Group B.
And for Team Korea, there will be the 8th round robin session for wheelchair curling against Germany later, just after half past seven this evening.
That's it from me for now but I'll be back with more updates on the Paralympic games throughout the day.
With that let's look at the medal table as of now.
