Making a return to the North American market, Ford's Ranger truck name will ride on a new mid-sized pickup truck. Scheduled to start production for late 2018 at Ford's Michigan Assembly Plant, the 2019 model year Ford Ranger arrives a smaller, more fuel efficient truck alternative to the existing F-150.
This video for Car FYI captures the vehicle at the 2018 Canadian International AutoShow in Toronto. Appearing in this video is the mid-range XLT trim version of the 2019 Ford Ranger. A full array of driver-assist active safety technologies come standard on the Ranger XLT including Blind Spot Information System with trailer coverage and an Automatic Emergency Braking system. XLT version of the Ford Ranger is propelled through a 2.3-liter EcoBoost engine paired with a 10-speed automatic transmission.
