On Tuesday, students at West Boca Raton High School staged a walkout, in solidarity with the students of Marjory Stoneman Douglas High School in Florida, where 17 people were killed in a shooting last week. The students marched more than 10 miles to Stoneman Douglas High School, as they held signs and chanted messages calling for gun reform. Officials told NBC that an estimated 1,000 people participated in the protest. The walkouts and protests happening in Florida are part of a larger national movement of students fighting for gun reform.
