Mount Sinabung erupted on Monday, February 19, and shot massive columns of steam and ash into the skies over North Sumatra, Indonesia.
Mount Sinabung erupted around 8:53 am with the top ash cloud peaking about 24,000 feet, according to an advisory released by Indonesia’s Center of Volcanology and Geological Hazard Mitigation.
