Rural fire crews felled “chimney” trees at Marge’s Lookout, in Katoomba’s Glenbrook area, in a video posted to Facebook on February 16, following an intense bushfire.

Following an out-of-control bushfire on Thursday, February 15, rural fire crews took chainsaws to the huge trees, as they are “dangerous and impossible to put out.”

The fire caused road closures and aerial crews were required to drop water on the blaze.
