Bill Paxton’s family members have filed a wrongful death lawsuit against the California hospital where the actor died, RadarOnline.com has learned.
Radar obtained the shocking lawsuit, which states that Paxton’s wife, Louise, and his two children, James and Lydia, have sued Cedars-Sinai Medical Center, his doctor, Ali Khoynezhad, M.D., Southbay Medical Partners and up to 100 Does for acting “negligently and/or recklessly” while treating the actor.
The defendants face a slew of damages including wrongful death, negligence, hospital negligence, breach of fiduciary duty, battery and survival action.
Paxton died on Feb. 25, 2017 at the age of 61, 11 days after undergoing heart surgery at the Los Angeles hospital.

The lawsuit alleges Paxton was suffering from heart conditions including bicuspid aortic valve and aortic aneurysm. It furthers Dr. Khoynezhad recommended Paxton undergo “heart surgery for aortic aneurysm repair” but the surgery was “not indicated” as necessary.
The lawsuit alleges Paxton’s doctor then performed the “unnecessary heart surgery” on the Twisted actor on Feb. 14, 2017 and failed to disclose “the risks of performing the procedure as a minimally invasive surgery” to him and his family.

As a result, the lawsuit alleges the actor suffered multiple complications, including “cardiogenic shock, right ventricular dysfunction, ventricular tachycardia, right ventricular ischemia and a compromised right coronary artery.”
The plaintiffs further allege that Paxton’s doctor left the hospital “without arranging for continuous care and coverage” for the actor.
Then Khoynezhad “failed to return to the operating room upon notification of the complications, causing a delay in treatment resulting in damage,” according to the document.
Paxton’s wife and kids are now seeking more than $25,000 in damages. The document alleges that Louise has suffered “loss of love, companionship, comfort, affection, society, solace, training, guidance, and sexual relations” as a result of Paxton’s death.
