According to a death certificate filed by the Los Angeles County coroner’s office, former 'Glee' star Mark Salling died from asphyxia by hanging. The document goes on to say that the 35-year-old hung himself with a ligature near a riverbed in the Sunland-Tujunga neighborhood of Los Angeles on January 30. Prior to his passing, Salling had been awaiting sentencing after pleading guilty in December 2017 to possession of child pornography.
