The species of fish which is caught and cooked is called Tilapia. The kid and the other guys caught around 20 fish in an hour. The heads of the fish were taken by the other kid, to prepare a tasty meen kulambu. The diet of this particular fish is primarily vegetarian so they have very low levels of mercury.
